5 to 15 cm (2 to 6 inches) depending on species.

Varied.

Habitat

Found worldwide. In B.C. they are wide-ranged, but rarely encountered.

Fishing

Easily collected by hand from shallow waters during low tide.

Cooking

Eating raw is very popular. Also grilled and broiled, and in soups and stews.
